I read the following titles during the weeks of February (with links to blog posts about said book where there is one):

August Folly – Angela Thirkell (T4) (1936)

Upstairs and Downstairs (Downton Abbey tie-in) – Sarah Warwick (2012)

Mary Barton – Elizabeth Gaskell (1848)

Oryx and Crake – Margaret Atwood (2003)

The American Woman’s Home – Catherine Beecher and Harriet Beecher Stowe (1869)

Of Studies (essay) – Sir Francis Bacon (1597)

A Celibate Season – Carol Shields/Blanche Howard (1991)

Black Beauty – Anna Sewell (1877)

Summer Half – Angela Thirkell (T5) (1937) – no blog post

Seventeen – Booth Tarkington (1914)

America’s Women (NF women’s history US) – Gail Collins (2003)

Total number of books read in February: 11

Fiction/Non-Fiction: 7 fiction /  4 non-fiction

Library books vs. books I owned (and thus removed from the home abode): 4 library books and 3 owned books. (Hmm. Might need to focus a bit more on owned books, but we’ll see.) I also read 5 electronic books.

And new statistic for this year – Total number of pages read this year: 3,423 (av. 856 pages per week – seems a little obsessive, no? Ah well. I love it and if it’s obsessive, then I’ll embrace that. 🙂 )

Thank you, also, to the various incarnations of Project Gutenberg around the world, and the volunteers who spend countless hours typing these books for us to read. Noted and appreciated.
