Little Free Library: Part Two — It’s Real!

After my rant little chat here about my experience with the first and only Little Free Library in my town, I happened to be driving around looking for some good photo scenes, when blow me down. I found another Little Free Library except that this was a true and proper LFL that followed the idea of the founders. (For more about the Little Free Library project, see here.)

It was beautifully made (obviously by someone who knows how to do carpentry and who loves books), and if I hadn’t been paying attention to my surroundings, it would have been so easy to miss. So I stopped the car and approached cautiously, not wanting to get burned like last time.

It looked real. It looked like it followed the spirit of the project.,,

And it was! A real Little Free Library which actually was a Little Free Library.

My heart jumped and the angels sang when I realized that this was no mirage, no fleeting dream, no ethereal invention. It was here.

Enough of that. Suffice to say that I was happy to find one, and even happier to find a good mix of titles inside its double glazed doors. It even worked out that, in the car, I had that same stack of books that I had curated for the other LFL (that wasn’t), and so I was thrilled to be able to contribute to this.

So, overall, it was a good day when I made this accidental discovery. I don’t know whose it is, but I’d like to thank them from the bottom of heart for doing such a good job in participating in this literacy project.

This was a good day.
